Grants Awarded in 2019 Total $343,743

Grants awarded in 2019 to 35 area nonprofits by The League Club, Inc. of Naples, Florida total $343,743 to support education, hunger relief and healthcare:  72,919 meals to combat hunger; 7,411 at-risk students gaining access to educational tools, academic support, & job training; 1,500 medical screenings and tests to improve healthcare; 6,580 new books to better prepare kids at Title I schools; 400 pairs of new shoes to enable kids to attend school and 750,000 diapers for needy babies.

2019-2020 Grant Guidelines

2019-2020 Grant Cycle

 

June 1, 2019   The League Club solicits Letters of Intent from agencies wishing to submit a grant proposal.
July 1, 2019, 5 p.m. EST Letters of Intent due via email
October 2019 Screening Committee completes review of Letters of Intent and determines which agencies will be invited to submit a Grant Proposal.
November 8, 2019, 5 p.m. EST Grant proposals due via email
November 2019 - February 2020  Community Involvement Committee evaluates proposals, visits agencies and makes recommendations to Board and membership for a vote.
February 2020 Board and Membership vote
April 9, 2020   Grant checks awarded at Briefcase Breakfast Event 
 January 15, 2021  Final Reports Due (on grants received in April 2020.)
