Introducing our 2024 Guest Speaker – Dara Caponigro

Dara Caponigro is the Chief Creative Officer of F. Schumacher & Co., the 132-year-old American company that comprises Schumacher, the luxury fabric and wallcovering house; Patterson Flynn, the prestigious rug firm; Frederic Magazine, Schumacher’s luxury design magazine and Freddie, an interior design membership platform.

Caponigro is Creative Director of Schumacher where she directs and oversees product development, digital and print marketing, PR and events, licensing, finished goods and visual merchandising. She is also Editor-in-Chief of Frederic, their glossy publication devoted to the best in design.

Caponigro is the author of The Authentics, which delves into the lives and homes of original trailblazers in the creative world, as well as domino, the Book of Decorating, a NY Times bestseller. Her most recent book, S is for Style: The Schumacher Book of Decoration, celebrates the limitless possibilities of decorating and helps readers to identify their personal style.

Prior to joining Schumacher, she held many illustrious positions as a magazine editor, specializing in interior design and architecture. Most recently, Caponigro was the Editor-in-Chief of Veranda magazine; founding editor and Style Director of domino magazine and Design Director at Elle Decor and Decorating Director at House Beautiful. She began her career at The Cooper-Hewitt Museum.

Caponigro is known for her ability to develop and invigorate brands, whether it’s breathing new life into existing companies or building them from scratch. Caponigro holds a BA from Barnard College where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.

Thank you to our designers, patrons, sponsors, and guests of Naples Tables 2023. Your support funds our Grants Program. This year, grants totaling $541,822 were awarded to 33 area nonprofits. Additional grants totaling $55,000 were awarded through Emergency Grants. Our yearly total distribution in 2023 was $596,822. Our mission is to strengthen the community through fellowship, education, volunteerism, and philanthropy. Your support of Naples Tables events is greatly appreciated.

The League Club, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization of women in southwest Florida strengthening communities through fellowship, education, volunteerism and philanthropy for the past 35 years. The League Club is open to women who have been or still are active members of a Junior League that is a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International.
